Creating Personal Fonts in Windows

Windows XP is a tool that called the Private Character Editor. With this tool we can create a character / personal letters (or logos) used in the font library. We can make up to 6400 personal character, either by starting from a blank page or edit a character of type fonts already installed in the computer. Shortcut this tool can not be found in the program menu, which is why some users might not know about his presence like me.

To start the Private Character Editor, can be done from Start - Run, then type eudcedit. After that will appear a window like the image below

The boxes are storage space character that we created. If you have not been made, select one, or for sequences select upper-left box, then select OK. Then we can begin to create the desired character with a selection of equipment on the left toolbar (or via the menu Tools - Item).

As I mentioned above, the characters will be able to edit from the character of a type font that already exists, by using the menu Edit - Copy of character .. We can associate a character created for one type of font or for any type of font (the default). To change it done from the File menu - Links .. If you are finished save the character that was created with the Save menu Character Character or Save As .. Next we are ready to use font characters that have been made.

To use it, open the application in which the characters are made to be used. Next open the Character Map, from the Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools. If previously we mengelinkan character created for all types of fonts, then select the All Fonts (Private Characters) or if previous mengelink a particular font dengn look at the font name, which accompanied (Private Characters).
